Circle Lens Review: Neo Dali Brown (Toric)

Hello my little Eyecoholics~

Surprise, surprise, I have 2 posts for you this month (amazing, I know). 2 months ago, I went to get my eyes checked up again and found out I had astigmatism. Because of that, buying regular circle lenses is a lot more expensive and the options are a lot less. I purchased my recent pair from HoneyColor because they were reliable and I’m so glad that I chose them because my custom contacts were created and sent to me in about a month. There was also a holiday promo for getting a free choker. Unfortunately, they ran out, so I got a cute ice-cream pouch instead.

The package came in after a month and there was free shipping.

Pretty standard plain white box that HoneyColor gives.

Everything was safely packaged and nothing was damaged.

The cute little pouch I got, it doesn’t hold much, but the picture makes me smile ūüôā

15934750_1938736826347583_1422716506_n

HoneyColor lenses always have a very fun and colorful box for the lenses themselves. (I however didn’t receive a coupon code like I did before)

15941603_1938736836347582_1847905406_n

These were actually a surprise, the order form had pretty boring green contact cases, but I was presently surprised to find that I got purple owl ones instead. I wonder if it’s compensation for the choker or not.

Your typical glass containers. I was really proud of myself for being able to take off the metal party without any complications. Like an idiot though, I opened them both up and then forgot which one was which eye because I was so excited to see them.

15909515_1938736839680915_827913300_n

Pretty standard natural lenses, they didn’t have a dark limbo ring to enlarge my eyes and they had very minimal graphic designs on them.

15879382_1938736843014248_2000129968_n

Basic contact procedure is to soak the lenses in new contact solution for 24 hours before wearing them.

Specs: Neo Dali Brown (Toric)

Brand: Neo Vision
Diameter: 14.2mm
Base Curve: 8.60mm
Water Content: 45%
Power Range: 0.00 ~ -10

Comfort: 3/5

These lenses are so dry. They make my eyes irritated and I used a ton of contact solution and eye drops to keep going the whole day. I used an entire bottle in about 8 hours, which is pretty bad compared to the couple of drops I use for the entire day with the¬†GEO Eyevelyn Choco. It was quite bad, but there were times I didn’t notice it at all for a couple hours.

Color: 5/5

I wanted them natural, they’re natural. They blend pretty well with my eyes, although my friends do say my eyes look darker which I don’t understand why because the color of the lenses are lighter than my actual eye color.

Enlargement: .5/5 (0 meaning none, 5 meaning tons)

Similar to the¬†GEO Eyevelyn Choco, these lenses weren’t bought with the intention on enlarge, however they did so slightly. I’m not complaining too much because I can still wear them without makeup and not look too “animey”.

Naturalness: 5/5

They looked super natural, it looks like I don’t have contacts in at all.

Buy or Bye

Bye, I would rather look somewhere else for toric lenses because they are pretty uncomfortable to wear on a daily basis and I just decided to stick with my old, out of prescription glasses until my new ones arrived.

Note, the thing with toric lenses is that they take quite a bit of time to adjust to your eyes, but after they do that, it’s crystal clear.

Company: 10/10

Like always, HoneyColor was a fantastic company to work with. They took no time for me to receive my order and it was very accurate to what was described.

Overall: 5/10 Potatoes

Although I liked the shipping time and product, the dryness was too much for me on a day to day basis. I did wear the lenses during my senior pictures, but other than that, I don’t know how often I would actually wear them in comparison to my glasses.

I can’t believe I got two posts done in a month (with another on the works at the moment)! Thanks for reading and have an amazing day ūüôā

*Photos of the actual lenses being worn will be updated soon.

Smol Beauty Haul: YesStyle Review

Hello my little Eyecoholics~

Today, I will be talking to you about a website I‚Äôve been dying to buy from for 5-6 years, but never had the chance (or the money ^^‚ÄĚ). Buying clothing online can usually be a hit or miss, but sometimes you are able to get an affordable treasure. Part of this review is on the clothes I bought and the clothes my sister bought.

This is my Smol Beauty Haul from YesStyle. My sister and I bought 7 things for roughly $10 each and we also got a free under eye brightener with our purchase. YesStyle is a Hong-Kong based company which distributes Asian fashion and beauty internationally.

To start off, I was rather disappointed in the quality of the clothing received and if you’re above a size Large in US women, the amount of clothing available to you is pretty small since I was wearing 2xL-4xL and there weren’t that many clothing options in that size. I understand that most Asian people are smaller sized but I still wished that there were more options for me that were cute, affordable and in my size. The quality of the clothes weren’t fantastic and for the price they were at, I could have probably found better quality clothes at H&M or Forever 21. We had a of couple complications when I was purchasing, so shipping took almost a month, but that was on me more so than the company.

The package arrived in a grey plastic bag which at first I didn’t know how 7 shirts fit inside but lo and behold, it all fit. Shipping was free since our order was more than $35.

The clothes were safely packed and taped together.

Pictures of my clothes because my sister got a little too excited to open her package.

Because my sister and I shared an order, her clothes will be reviewed first since she didn’t return any of them. For reference, my sister wears a size medium in ladies US sizing and I wear a large through x-large.

Item #1: Ukiyo РStriped Long Sleeve T-Shirt

dsc_0023

Specs: Ukiyo РStriped Long Sleeve T-Shirt

Brand: Ukiyo
Size: XL
Measurements: Shoulder Width: 41cm, Sleeve Length: 60.5cm, Bust: 100cm, Total Length: 68cm
Fabric: Cotton
Color: Black
Price: $12.90 USD

True to Sizeness: 4/5

It fit my sister pretty well other than the shoulder area, it was too big so it made her look boxy.

True to Picture: 2.5/5

Are there stripes? Yes. Does the neckline, sleeve or size of stripes look similar? Not really.

Comfort: 4/5

To her, it’s really comfortable (for outside clothes, she wouldn’t lounge in it) but she felt like the fabric was a huge turn off.

Manufacturing Mistakes:

  • Quite a few loose threads
  • Back didn’t match up with front

Buy or Bye:

Buy. She likes the shirt despite the fabric has a spandex/polyester type feel. One flaw would be the fact that, “it makes me look like I belong in prison.”

dsc_0039

Specs: Showlite – Short-Sleeve Striped T-Shirt

Brand: Showlite
Size: L
Measurements: Length: 64cm, Shoulder Width: 37cm, Bust: 102cm
Fabric: Cotton
Color: Black
Price: $9.90 USD

True to Sizeness: 4.5/5

It fit pretty well with her measurements. It wasn’t as baggy as she liked.

True to Picture: 4.5/5

Was pretty accurate,¬†the biggest thing would be the sleeves can’t be rolled up/didn’t come rolled up.

Comfort: 4.5/5

Pretty comfortable, better than the previous shirt.

Manufacturing Mistakes:

  • Lines didn’t line up
  • Few loose threads

Buy or Bye

Bye, to her it’s a pretty ugly shirt and quite a few of my relatives told her it was either really ugly or asked if she got it from jail. If you’re able to pull off a shirt like this, go for it. It is probably the best shirt out of the batch.

dsc_0032

Specs: Moon City – Plain Long-Sleeve T-Shirt

Brand: Moon City
Size: One Size
Measurements: Shoulder Width: 61cm, Bust: 116cm, Sleeve Length: 39cm, Total Length: 71cm
Fabric: Cotton
Color: Dark Grey
Price: $13.90

True to Sizeness: 2/5

It was supposed to be a lot baggier, but in turn was pretty close to her body even though in the areas like the bust, she is not close to 116 cms at all.

True to Picture: 1/5

Looking at the picture compared to the real thing, there are some similarities but none of them look as good as the picture. The stitching wasn’t well defined nor was the bagginess of the picture transferred to the actual product.

Comfort: 1/5

The fabric was the same weird spandex/polyester blend that was made to look soft so when you reach to touch it, it was a lie and all you got was smoothness. It was also weirdly baggy on one side of the shirt but okay on the other, almost as if was lopsided.

Manufacturing Mistakes:

None

Buy or Bye

Bye, this was her least favorite shirt. Looking through her review, it’s pretty easy to see why.

Britney: “Buy it if you like looking like a box” (aka those cosplaying Solid Snake would like this)

dsc_0028

Specs: IndiGirl – Short-Sleeve Cutout Top

Brand: IndiGirl
Size: One Size
Measurements: Total Length: 58cm, Bust: 112cm, Sleeve Length: 25cm
Fabric: Cotton
Color: Black
Price: $12.26 USD

True to Sizeness: 0/5

Was pretty tight on my sister even though the measurements given should have given her quite a bit of space. Body hugging clothes is one thing, but cutting off oxygen supply is another.

True to Picture: 3/5

The neck cut-out detailing is a bit different than the picture, they were spaced a bit further from each other, and not nearly as long as the picture.

Comfort: 0/5

It was so tight she had a hard time breathing and getting out was painful to watch.

Manufacturing Mistakes:

  • Sizing
  • The cutout detailing weren’t hemmed properly

Buy or Bye

Bye for now. She would totally buy it again if it was larger, because it was really soft and nice looking, but the sizing is so inaccurate that she doesn’t want to take the chance of reordering.

~

Now my personal haul. I ended up returning everything.

dsc_0024dsc_0020

Specs: Lovebirds – Short-Sleeved Print Couple T-Shirt

Brand: Lovebirds
Size: 2XL
Measurements: Total Length: 68cm, Shoulder Width: 46cm, Bust: 105cm
Fabric: Cotton Blend
Color: Black, White
Price: $9.90 USD

True to Sizeness: 4/5

I was expecting this shirt to be a lot bigger since it said that bust was up to 105 cm but it turned out to be tighter. For those who also say that it’s the max stretch, this shirt could stretch a LOT more (aka I could fit my knees into it and booty scoot around my house….not that I did that…).

True to Picture: 4/5

I guess. The picture didn’t nearly look this thin and unless the girl had an 3xl while keeping the same length sleeves than it doesn’t look too different from the picture.

Comfort: 3/5

The shirt was pretty thin, nice and stretchy, but thin nonetheless. It might be a nice summer shirt (if I kept it), but I wouldn’t wear it as lounging clothes.

Manufacturing Mistakes:

  • Super thin
  • You can see the extra fabric behind the “V”

Buy or Bye: 4/10

Bye Bye, I returned this because it wasn’t the best buy. It wasn’t soft or comfortable. My biggest complaint would be the fact that it was sold as cotton but it felt like a spandex polyester blend that is super slick. As someone who hates that type of material, this shirt was not for me.

dsc_0025dsc_0022

Specs: Azure – Couple Two-Tone Short-Sleeved Shirt

Brand:Azure
Size: 4XL
Measurements: Length: 74cm, Chest: 106cm, Sleeve Length: 22cm, Shoulder Width: 52cm
Fabric: N/A
Color: Blue-Neck, White
Price: $12.26 USD

True to Sizeness: 3/5

True to length, but the bust was pretty tight. I couldn’t lift my arms without a gap appearing between the buttons right by my chest.

True to Picture: 4.5/5

Basically the same as the picture. One flaw would be that the pocket isn’t real and it was really wrinkly (hence why I am pulling the shirt down in the picture).

Comfort: 2/5

It was pretty uncomfortable. Too big in some areas and too small in other areas. I would not wear this too school.

Manufacturing Mistakes:

  • No pockets D:

Buy or Bye

I really really wanted to like this one, but it has to be a bye for me. It had the same problem as the last shirt, it was called cotton, but I got a smooth fabric that resembled polyester.

dsc_0038dsc_0021dsc_0042

Specs: Fairyland – Set: Zebra Print T-Shirt + Overalls

Brand: Fairyland
Size: 2XL
Measurements: Overalls: Waist: 78-96cm (Elastic), Hips: 110cm, Thigh: 60cm, Calf: 42cm, Total Length: 118cm
Shirt: Shoulder Width: 45cm, Bust: 96cm, Waist: 98cm, Sleeve Length: 40cm, Total Length: 56cm
Fabric: Cotton
Color: As Shown
Price: $8.72 USD

True to Sizeness: 4/5

Shirt was a bit bigger than expected and the pants fit perfectly.

True to Picture: 5/5

Looked just like the picture. The one downside I don’t like about the Fairyland brand is the fact that none of their clothes have models to show you what it looks like on a person.

Comfort: 4.5/5

The zebra shirt was pretty comfortable and soft, but I wasn’t super fond of the pants.

Manufacturing Mistakes:

  • Couple of loose threads
  • White stain by my crotch

Buy or Bye

Unfortunately, bye. Although the shirt was super comfy and soft (IT ACTUALLY FELT LIKE COTTON FOR ONCE), the overalls were a big no for me. They didn’t flatter me at all and reminded me of snow pants. I really wanted to pull off this style but overalls have proven once again, that boobs and fixed straps don’t like to play nice.

Company: 4/10

YesStyle wasn’t too bad of a company to order through. The return process however is pretty bad considering it’s been 2 weeks since I sent it to the next state over (sending mail halfway across the country usually takes 3-5 days) and they have given me no indication that they have received my package. I liked that they helped me edit my order when I bought a shirt, but they gave me no instructions for paying for it until a week later when I emailed them. They gave me a tracking number which I appreciated, but the processing time before they shipped was almost 2.5 weeks. Also, their phone number didn’t work ever; I called them at least 5 times at varying days and times, but never once did I get an answer.

Overall: 2/10 Potatoes

I ended up returning everything I got and my sister wanted to return half of the¬†things she got (she didn’t for some reason). Dealing with the company was kind of a hassle since all their communication was through email and it took 2-3 days for them to reply. If I end up getting a refund, I will be ordering shoes because the clothes were extremely disappointing in look and quality.

Anyways, I know this was a pretty long review and I haven’t updated anything in 2 months, but I have a couple of reviews coming up this month and the next so please keep an eye for those.
